Max Amber Sportsfield
Max Amber Sportsfield is a shady tree lined reserve spread out along Fifth Creek. The oval offers multiple sporting facilities including a soccer pitch, football oval and cricket nets. Please note that the tennis courts at this reserve are not freely available for public use.
There is a basic playground suitable for pre-school and school aged children.
Max Amber Sportsfield’s clubroom facility is named ‘Wayikuu’, a Kaurna word meaning “inside space for moving”. The signage and symbols on the building convey a gathering place. Wayikuu boasts spectacular views and is accessible and inclusive in its design. The building is designed with sustainability as one of its core principles, using 30% less electricity and water than comparable properties of its size and use — delivering in both environmental responsibility and long-term cost savings. The clubrooms are accessible and are fitted with a changing places facility (including an adult sized change table and hoist).
