Small business grants

The next round of Small Business Grants will open on 1 February and close at 5 pm on Sunday 28 February 2027.

Twice a year (February and August) we invite you to apply for funding through our small business grants program aimed at helping new and established businesses in Campbelltown to grow and thrive.

The program has been created to assist with economic development opportunities and investment in the City of Campbelltown. Funding is available for initiatives that support the development of small businesses through activities such as:

  • Business expansion into new products or services
  • Improved access (such as disability access)
  • Commercialisation and market expansion (bringing developed products, services or ideas to market or expanding their commercial reach)
  • Premise upgrades (such as shop-front improvements to enhance local streetscapes)
  • Activation events (such as new economic development events)
  • Sustainability initiatives (such as circular economy solutions)
  • Innovation and development (such as refining or improving products through trials and further development).

Grants are awarded on a competitive basis. Meeting the criteria alone does not guarantee funding. The total pool of the grant program is $40,000 per financial year and we will consider applications for funding of up to $5,000 per business (ex GST). This funding is provided in the form of a minimum $1 to $1 matching investment from the business (i.e. matched funding of at least 50% must come from the business applying for the grant).  Successful applicants are required to complete their projects before they receive their grant funds (i.e. reimbursement upon completion).

1. Read the guidelines in full to ensure you are eligible.

2. Contact us to discuss your proposal before you make your application.

3. Develop a Project Plan and a Budget for your proposal, including quotes for evidence of costs. Unverified estimates of costs are not considered adequate.

4. Complete the small business grant online application form.

Once submitted, you will receive an automatic email confirmation. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please contact us to check that your application was received.
