Campbelltown cool spaces

As temperatures rise and electricity bills keep soaring, we understand that many people struggle to keep themselves cool at home. Helping our community stay cool during heatwaves is a priority for us.

From 1 December 2024 to 31 March 2025, we will be operating our cool spaces program to help you to beat the heat.

Where to find a cool space

When a severe or extreme heatwave is declared by the Bureau of Meteorology, cool spaces will be activated at:

  1. Campbelltown Library

    Address: 171 Montacute Road, Newton
    Opening hours: 10 am to 8 pm
    Amenities: Books, movie room, tables, chairs, power access for charging, disability access, drinking water.
  2. St Martin's Anglican Church

    Address: 3 George Road, Paradise
    Opening hours: 10 am to 8 pm
    Amenities: Disability access, coffee machine/kitchen facilities available including fridges and freezer space, drinking water, tables, chairs, power access for charging, children’s playground (under 6 years), TV, books (library), board and card games.
  3. The ARC Campbelltown

    Address: 531 Lower North East Road, Campbelltown
    Opening hours: Monday to Friday 6 am to 9 pm, weekends 7 am to 7 pm
    Amenities: Café, Coffee Cart, TV, tables, chairs, power access for charging, disability access, drinking water.

If you have limited transport options to reach our cool space, register now to let us know. We'll do our best to accommodate the abilities of all people and provide suitable transportation options where possible.
