Stobie pole art
We recognise the importance of creative contributions from community and support community members, groups and organisations wanting to brighten up their neighbourhood by painting local Stobie poles.
If you would like to paint a Stobie pole in your local area, you must first seek permission from SA Power Networks who own the Stobie poles.
We do not take responsibility for the painting or maintenance of Stobie pole art. This is the responsibility of the community group or members who wish to undertake them.
Before you start
- Check that you meet ALL the required conditions outlined by SA Power Networks on their Stobie Pole Art guidelines document available at www.sapowernetworks.com.au/about-us/stobie-pole-art.
- Talk with the residents adjacent to the proposed Stobie pole location and seek community support for the project.
- Contact Campbelltown Council to let us know of your Stobie pole art on 08 8366 9303.
Your responsibilities
The artist, organisation or community group undertaking the project is responsible for:
- Sourcing and providing all materials required.
- The artistic quality of the artwork.
- Any ongoing inspection, maintenance or repairs of the artwork.
- Safety planning and risk management during installation and maintenance activities.
- Ensuring the artwork being placed on the poles is not offensive and does not constitute commercial advertising (e.g. business name or logo, political material, local messages or directions or any other material likely to offend).
Council does not accept any liability for the maintenance, replacement or restoration of artwork and reserves the right to paint over or remove artwork from the pole if required at any time.
