Sister and friendship cities
Our city enjoys a warm connection with two very special overseas communities.
Our Sister City Paduli sits north east of Naples, Italy. The city is known for its picturesque landscapes and historic buildings. With a long history, it was once home to a medieval castle built by the Normans.
Oyster Bay shares a friendship with our city and is situated on Long Island near New York City in the USA. Oyster Bay was known as the summer White House during the Roosevelt presidency. Today, it is a thriving community surrounded by beaches and forests.
The beautiful Padulesi Park celebrates our connection to both Paduli and Oyster Bay, and is home to the Athelstone Community Garden.
