Easter and Anzac Day closures

Council's Office, Campbelltown Library (including the returns chute) and the Depot (including the TV, computer and household chemical waste facility) will be closed:

  • Easter long weekend, Friday 18 April 2025 to Monday 21 April 2025
  • Anzac Day, Friday 25 April 2025.

Non-urgent requests for service can be made online or via the My Local Services app. If your request requires immediate attention (e.g. poses a danger to pedestrians or traffic), please call our after-hours emergency line on 08 7071 3701 for assistance.

Easter and Anzac Day waste collections

Kerbside bin collections on:

  • Good Friday, 18 April 2025, will be delayed by one day. Please put your bins out for collection on the day following your usual scheduled day.
  • Anzac Day, Friday 25 April 2025, will be collected as usual.

Roads and traffic

Council is committed to working with our community to provide a safe and efficient road network.

Road management and maintenance

Responsibility for the management and maintenance of roads is shared between state and local governments.

Council is responsible for the construction and maintenance of local roads within our city, including kerbing, stormwater, signage and traffic control. There are a total of 253km of local roads in our city.  These roads are classified as sub arterial, major and minor collector, industrial and local roads, as shown on our road hierarchy map.

Please report any damage to roads, kerbing, signage or traffic control to Council.

Major arterial roads within the Council area are managed by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (SA Government):

Scheduled roadworks

Council inspects its road network for defects every four years. Based on the inspection results, Council creates a plan to prioritise roadworks. Further information is available in Council’s Asset Management Plan – Transport Assets.

Traffic management

Council’s Transport Plans identify opportunities to improve traffic, road safety, street parking, public transport, walking and cycling routes within our City.

Campbelltown Transport Plan (Hectorville, Rostrevor, Tranmere and Magill)

Council is currently undertaking a Transport Plan for the suburbs of Campbelltown, Paradise, Athelstone and Newton.
