Discover Campbelltown's history
The Ian Reddy Local History room is the heart of our local history collection, showcasing stories of Campbelltown's people, places and events. Browse through photographs, maps, documents, books, school yearbooks, newspaper clippings and unique artefacts that preserve our Community's heritage.
Please be aware that Local History materials are for in-room reference only and cannot be borrowed.
In late August 2020, the Local History room in the Campbelltown Library was renamed as the Ian Reddy Local History Room to honour the memory of Ian Reddy. Ian was a local resident, volunteer and recipient of the 2015 Campbelltown Citizen of the Year Award.
Ian passed away in 2018 in his 80th year. He was a familiar face in the Local History Room, helping countless community members with their local history enquiries over the years.
