Ageing

People are living longer than ever, and with retirement often beginning in the sixties, there’s a wealth of vibrant years ahead.

As an age-friendly community, we promote ageing well by offering resources and supporting community groups that help older residents thrive through retirement and beyond. We focus on creating an inclusive environment that supports health, wellbeing, participation, and making Campbelltown a neighbourhood for all ages and abilities.

Staying active and connected

Our community has a variety of social and interest groups, activities and sports clubs that can help older residents stay active, connected, and joyful. Staying active can be as simple as gardening or walking the dog, but if you're looking for more, you might consider joining an exercise group, gym class, swim at the ARC Campbelltown, or find a local sports club. Social connections are equally vital for mental and physical health.

Consider trying something new. An art class, book club, or community garden could be just the thing. Our 'Staying Active' and 'Staying Connected' guides are full of opportunities to engage with your community.
