Street play
Street play aims to reclaim quiet residential streets as places for neighbours to connect and play.
Residents work with us to close their street for two hours to let neighbours meet and for children and families to play on their street safely and freely. Through traffic is diverted but car access is allowed at walking speed.
The process is easy and involves four steps:
- Get support and permission from our Community Development Officer Children and Youth on 08 8366 9336 or ycole@campbelltown.sa.gov.au.
- Talk to your neighbours and set a date.
- Tell everyone! Hand out the street play letterbox leaflet to your neighbours.
- Play and meet on your street.
