NAIDOC Awards
NAIDOC Week is held in the first full week of July each year. It is a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and is an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our society.
Each year we seek nominations for young Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people between the ages of 12 and 25 years living, working or studying in the City of Campbelltown who have made a significant contribution to the community through education, sport, music, art, community service or culture.
The NAIDOC Youth Award winner is recommended to Council by the Reconciliation Advisory Committee. The winner is awarded $500 to contribute towards furthering their contributions.
