Wadmore Park / Pulyonna Wirra

Wadmore Park is situated in the suburb of Athelstone covers approximately 30 hectares. The park is surrounded on its western, northern and eastern boundaries by residential land users and adjoins Black Hill Conservation Park to the south. It has a 7.4km network of walking trails throughout the native trees and scrubland. Off-street parking is available at the northern end (off Addison Avenue) as well as the western side along Maryvale Road.
From 1942 to 1946 Wadmore Park was the site of the 123rd Australian Special Hospital and now features an Avenue of Honour that marks to original entrance to the hospital.
