Christmas lights
Tuesday 1 December to Thursday 31 December 2026, 8:30 pm to 11 pm
We invite you to share in the Christmas spirit by decorating your home for the festive season and registering to have your home featured on our 2026 Christmas lights map.
In the interests of our environment, participants are encouraged to use solar-powered and/or LED lights and to make use of timers to limit the duration of displays. Similarly, we encourage you to consider our environment and take a walking or cycling tour of the lights in your neighbourhood.
Conditions of registration
- All entrants are encouraged to have their light displays on from 1 - 31 December 2026, between the hours of 8:30 pm and 11 pm.
- The entrant agrees for their property address to be listed in promotional material, including our website and local flyers available to the public to view the lights.
- We will conduct free general public bus tours to view the lights.
- All entrants agree that their installation will stop at their property boundary and not cover the Council verge.
- All entrants will receive a gift in appreciation of your participation.
