Thorndon Park Playground
Thorndon Park, Paradise is a regional park and destination for the community, local residents and visitors. As one of the Council’s regional parks, it provides active and passive recreation facilities for people of all ages and abilities. The current play space at the Thorndon Park no longer satisfies the diverse and engaging experiences of contemporary play space design. The Thorndon Park playground proposes to upgrade the existing play space at Thorndon Park with a regional play facility and youth recreation area to cater for all ages and abilities.
Construction of the playground is commencing from 4 April 2022, with will be completed and opened to the public at 11am on Friday 16 December 2022.
