Update to Council Wards

During 2025, we reviewed the composition of our wards and their boundaries, including consultation with our Community in January and February 2025. Following this, we submitted a request to the Electoral Commission South Australia (ECSA) to slightly adjust the boundaries of our 5 wards to ensure that representation in these wards is balanced for the benefit of our electors. This process has now been completed and approved by ECSA, and was gazetted on 20 November 2025.
The wards will continue to be known as Hectorville, Gorge, Newton, River and Woodforde, with new boundaries taking effect for our November 2026 Local Government Elections process.
