The kindness project
Research has shows the importance of kindness in communities, how it can be built and the impact it can have. That's why kindness is one of the focus areas of our Community Wellbeing Plan 2028.
You may have noticed some small acts of kindness in our community over the past few months as members of our staff leadership program have been bringing kindness to life.
Cups of kindness
At the Campbelltown Library and Thorndon Park, team members handed out free cups of tea, coffee and Milo to visitors. This small, generous act was designed to spark considerate connection and encourage others to perform their own small acts of kindness in the community.
Kindness stobie pole
Standing tall in our community, the kindness stobie pole serves as a lasting reminder that kindness is a choice. Thoughtfully designed and painted with encouraging words, this pole invites everyone who passes by to pause, reflect, and carry kindness into their daily lives.
The stobie pole is installed at the end of Lochiel parkway, and is viewed by hundreds of passers-by and parkrun participants every week. We encourage you to drop past and take a look!
Get involved
Together we can choose kindness and work toward creating a happier, more connected Community.
