emPowering Magill
The community-scale energy storage system will increase our local and state’s renewable energy and at the same time will enable the lowest residential electricity rate in South Australia to be made available to at least 300 social housing tenants in Magill and surrounds.

Battery artwork
As a part of the project, the Department of Energy and Mining ran a photography competition, open to those who live work or study in the City of Campbelltown. Entrants were asked to submit up to three original photographs representing the local landscape. The winning entry was to be incorporated into perforated steel artwork on the street-facing facade of the battery enclosure.
Congratulations to local resident, Christian Trigg, whose photographs of a kookaburra have been featured on the Magill Community battery.
