Recharge Point Campbelltown City Council is committed to providing a Community that is accessible and inclusive for everyone.  Campbelltown’s Access and Inclusion Plan demonstrates Council’s commitment to improving the participation of people with disability across a range of areas so that they can enjoy the rights and opportunities provided to all citizens.

As reported in 2011 5.6% of the population in the local Campbelltown area needed help in their day -to-day lives due to their disability.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS scheme which rolled out in South Australia in 2013 aims to  provide all Australians under the age of 65 who have a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to enjoy an ordinary life.

The NDIS is designed to help people wth disability achieve their goals. This may include greater independence, community involvement, employment and improved wellbeing. As an insurance scheme, the NDIS takes a lifetime approach, investing in people with disability early to improve their outcomes later in life.

Eastern Adelaide NDIS Expo    

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will begin for people aged 18 to 64 in the Eastern Adelaide region from 1st April 2018  The South Australian Government is hosting a series of community expos across the state to provide information on the rollout of the NDIS to people with disability, their families and the general public.

City of Campbelltown residents  are invited to attend the Eastern Adelaide Expo to learn about the NDIS and how it will affect you. 

              Where:  Influencers Church,  57 Darley Road, Paradise    SA     5075

              When:   20 February 2018,  3:30PM – 8:30PM.

This community expo brings together representatives from the South Australian Government, the National Disability Insurance Agency and service providers, and gives you a chance to hear more and ask questions about how the NDIS will affect you. The event includes two elements: the public expo, plus a presentation (run twice, in the afternoon and evening
