Political Neutrality

Following the close of nominations for the 2022 Council elections, Council is now in the Election Caretaker Period and is governed by legislation and its Election Caretaker Policy as to its actions.

Council Staff are prohibited from undertaking any action for the advantage or disadvantage of any particular candidate, or group of candidates during the election period.

All users of Council’s social media pages must comply with the terms of use determined by the Campbelltown City Council. At this particular time, those terms of use include that the Council is committed to a position of neutrality in respect of the 2022 elections for all tiers of government (Federal, State and Local).  Any past content on this page that refers to any particular candidate or group of candidates is not an endorsement of that candidate(s).

Any election-related material that is posted on Council’s social media pages is the responsibility of the person posting it and does not represent or reflect the views or position of the Council. The Council is not responsible for and disclaims any connection with or liability for anything posted in this nature by a user. Accordingly, the Council unconditionally reserves the right to remove any election-related post or comment made on Council social media pages that is considered by page administrators to promote or to seek to create advantage or to cause disadvantage to or for an election candidate or group of election candidates.
