Types of Certificates
This online service is used for ordering the following types of certificates:
- Section 187 - Rates Certificate
- Update Section 187 - Free within 3 months of a previous search request by you (not applicable if new financial year)
- Urgent Section 7 - Full Council Search (Certificate(s) of Title required)
- Section 7 - Full Council search (Certificate(s) of Title required)
Timeframe
- Rates Search Request (Section 187 / Update Section 187) are delivered electronically within a few minutes in most cases (there are a few exceptions where Council will need to manually verify some information so occasionally there may be a delay).
- Urgent Search Requests are electronically delivered before 5pm the next business day.
- Standard Search Requests will be electronically delivered within 8 business days, by 5pm at the latest on the 8th business day.
Registration
Conveyancers / Authorised Persons need to register for this service before being able to log in.
Once your registration application has been lodged, you will see the 'Registration Processed' message. One of Council's Development Officers will verify your details and if successful, you will be emailed a confirmation of your new account, together with a link to activate your account. You will be assigned a temporary password that you will need to change upon activation. It may take up to 24 hours for you to receive confirmation. If Council staff require further information from you in order to verify your account, they will contact you.

Frequently Asked Questions
You will need to be registered to order a search.
- Enter you account user name and password at the login page.
- You will be re-directed to Council's on line services page where you can request your search
- You must accept council's Terms and Conditions.
- Select the search type
- For full searches (section 7 and urgent section 7), the certificate of title is required to be uploaded
- For free rates updates, you need to enter the certificate number and the date of your original request (original must be less than 3 months old and in the current financial year)
- Enter your own relevant reference details in the 'Your Reference' field and then email delivery address (this can be different from your login email address - handy when you have multiple users in one office)
- Search the address. **Please check the certificate of title number carefully (Council recommends searching via the land tab and using the title reference number)**
- Confirm the Information Summary then proceed to the Shopping Cart (additional searches or deletion of searches can be done at this stage prior to payment (payment email address can also be different from the login email address or the email address that the search is going to (for example to you finance department)
The Rates Section 187 Search will be emailed to the original email that the account was created with, unless you changed the email address during the order process. If you made no change to the email address, then please check the registered email inbox.
Please check your Spam / Junk inbox for our return email. It will be from a City of Campbelltown (Do not reply) address: NoReply@campbelltown.sa.gov.au , and it will have your search request as an attachment in the email. Please change your spam settings to allow these emails through.
If you still cannot find the email, please contact us to confirm it has been sent.
Urgent Section 7: within 48 hours
Please ensure you are not requesting the Updated Sec 187 in a new financial year. Searches are only valid for the current financial year they are ordered in. We can only offer you the update up until the 30th of June.
Also ensure you were the original conveyancer requesting the search. If the original was ordered by another company, they will need to order the update on your behalf.
These properties are known as tenancies and for example, each shop within the complex or each unit within the aged care facility are all individually rated. The property can only be sold as a whole as it will usually be on only one title.
In this case, you will need to order a separate rates search for each tenancy. When submitting an application, you are required to select each tenancy individually and complete the rates search request.
To receive the Section 7 information, please order a Full or Urgent Full Search on the Tenancy Header or Parent Property. This Full Search will contain all the relevant information on every property for this Certificate of Title.

As long as there is only one property with one assessment number, you can follow the normal process for ordering a Full or Urgent Full Search. You will need to upload all relevant certificates of title.

If you have tried searching using the property address and it does not return a match, try using the Land search and enter in the Certificate of Title number. Please ensure the legal description matches your Certificate of Title before continuing your request.
No - Council does not offer refunds for ordering the wrong property search. Please check when searching the property to ensure that the legal description held by Council matches your Certificate of Title.
