Breastfeeding Information

Breastfeeding can be a special time for both mother and baby. Breast milk meets all of your baby's nutritional requirements from birth and can be good for the health of babies and their mothers as well. For more information about breastfeeding please visit http://www.healthinsite.gov.au/article/breastfeeding

Many mothers who breastfeed have some ups and downs at the start, and sometimes even after they get going. Breastfeeding support and advice can be sought from other mothers and from a range of health professionals including midwives, baby health nurses, Australian Breastfeeding Association counsellors, lactation consultants and doctors. As a result of the breastfeeding consulation this Campbelltown breastfeeding information has been compiled for local mums that require breastfeeding support in the Campbelltown area.

In addition, Council has also developed a Picture Perfect Booklet that provides businesses and organisations with tips on how to create more breastfeeding friendly environments - with the information obtained through consultation with local parents!
