Diwali Festival of Lights Competition

In 2023, Campbelltown was the first Council in South Australia to host a Diwali Festival of Lights Competition.

Diwali is an Indian Festival celebrating the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and includes decorating homes with lights. The main day of the Diwali Festival was on Sunday 12 November 2023 with celebrations going over a 5-day period from Friday 10 November 2023 – Tuesday 14 November 2023.

We had a fantastic start to the competition with 29 community members and families registering to decorate their homes with lights and rangoli.

Thank you to all the entrants who brought light and joy to the City of Campbelltown, and congratulations to the winners of both the lights and rangoli categories. We would also like to thank Aussizz Migration & Education Consultants and Cr Jagdish Lakhani for their gift donations.
