Daly Oval
Across the community, suburban sporting grounds like this are being re-designed and shaped for the benefit of all.
Daly Oval, home to the Hectorville Sports & Community Club, features a football oval, cricket pitch, cricket nets, tennis and netball courts. Access paths are lit with solar powered lights and give good access to those of us using wheelchairs without assistance. There is a 470m long walking path around the perimeter of the oval.
An access-for-all toddler/junior playground with a castle theme is alongside a playground more suited to teenagers. Both are shaded and very popular. Multiple barbeque and picnic settings are provided under shade and water fountains can be found along the paths. Ample off-street parking is provided.
Dogs are permitted to be exercised off leash on the oval when there are no organised sporting events.
Note: The tennis/netball courts at this location that are not available for public use.
