Join author Robert Horne for a talk about his historical novel The Glass Harpoon (2020) set in South Australia in 1842.

A tale of friendship, love, and frontier violence. Robert confronts uncomfortable truths associated with the birth of the colony in this unflinching account of the earliest days of South Australia and examines the power imbalance between the Kaurna people and the Europeans.

Shortlisted for the ARA Historical Novel Prize in 2021 by the Historical Novel Society of Australia. There will be time for questions and light refreshments at the end of the talk.

Copies of his book will be available for sale on the day.
