Teresa Marona, is a respected Campbelltown businesswoman and accomplished entrepreneur. She traces her journey from a small Italian village to becoming a prominent figure in the local community. Born in San Giorgio La Molara, Italy, Teresa’s early life was influenced by her father, who had an impact on her business acumen. At 16, she embarked on her entrepreneurial path, starting her first business before migrating to Australia in 1969.

Overcoming challenges, Teresa established herself in Adelaide, initially working at a relative’s supermarket. Her venture into hospitality began with the purchase of a pizza bar in 1978, later selling it in 1982 to return to Italy briefly. On their return, she and her husband revitalised a fish and chip shop in Rostrevor, transforming it into an award winning establishment. Simultaneously, they ventured into property development, contributing significantly to the Campbelltown area.

In 2005, Teresa returned to her roots as a seamstress and pursued her education at 63. Actively engaged in the community, she has volunteered at the Campania Club for a decade. Teresa, known for her commitment and resilience, emphasises the importance of learning from successful individuals, and to young women on their career journey, advises patience and authenticity.
