ZestFest Special Movie Screening

Thursday 17 October, 2-4 pm | Campbelltown Library, 171 Montacute Road, Newton

Come along to the Campbelltown Library for a special movie screening of the 1952 movie Million Dollar Mermaid courtesy of the National Film and Sound Archive.

Highly fictionalised aquatic biopic with Esther Williams portraying turn-of-the-century Australian swimming champion Annette Kellerman.

Our Local History Officer with share information about Annette Kellerman before the movie and we will finish with a tasty afternoon tea.

Daily Moves – Fitness Assessment Day

Friday 18 October (book in for your allocated time) | Campbelltown Council, 172 Montacute Road, Rostrevor

Are you over 65 and looking for a supportive physical activity program?

The Daily Moves program encourages participants to move their bodies for 30 minutes a day. 

When you join the program, you will undertake a free physical assessment and goal setting session, to create an individualised Daily Moves Plan.

This plan will provide some suggested activities based on your interests. If you choose to, you will also receive regular support, encouragement, mentoring and follow up assessments along the way. Check out Daily Moves at www.unley.sa.gov.au/daily-moves

“Bees and Blooms” - Afternoon Tea at the ArtHouse

Monday 21 October 1.30-3.30pm | Campbelltown ArtHouse, 168 Montacute Road, Rostrevor (next to Council)

Join us at the ArtHouse for a yummy afternoon tea of home made scones and tea/coffee.  Hear local artist Elizabeth Little talk on her current exhibition “In Bloom” followed by Sandra Ullrich from the Adelaide Bee Sanctuary who will tell us everything we need to know about “bees”.

Mindset for Life

Retirement can be a challenging time to work out who you want to be and what you want to do with your time.  Mindset for Life is a program to help you get your retirement off to a good start.

Thorndon Park Fitness Equipment - Launch

Monday 28 October 8.00 – 10.30 am | Thorndon Park, Hamilton Crescent, Paradise

Come along and join the Brilliant Walkers Group (Heart Foundation Walking Group) for an early morning walk, followed by a BBQ breakfast.  The morning will include a demonstration of how to use the new fitness equipment and modify exercises to accommodate injuries and different levels of ability.
