Dog park and off leash areas

Four Paws Park

Four Paws Park is open for you and your four legged friends to enjoy. The park is located at Denis Morrissey Park on the corner of Montacute and St Bernards Roads, Hectorville. Entry to the car park is accessible from St Bernards Road.

The Dog Park is equipped with a variety of dog exercise equipment, a dog drinking fountain and benches for seating and utilises the surrounding landscape as part of its appeal.

Please ensure you keep your dog on leash at all times when not in the fenced dog park at Denis Morrissey Park. On entry to Four Paws Park, please take note of the conditions of use of the dog park and take responsibility for your dog.

Exercising your dog off leash

Providing suitable on and off leash areas for owners to safely exercise their dogs is important for effective animal management in the area. It is also important that other members of the community are able to enjoy public spaces without worrying about uncontrolled dogs or nuisances like dog faeces.

Council has a number of dog friendly parks where owners can exercise their dogs off leash. Some of these parks and reserves may have restricted off leash times. Please check the signs at each park for any restrictions and your responsibilities as a dog owner.

The following locations are excellent places to exercise your dogs off leash:

  • Campbelltown Memorial Oval, corner Darley Road and Lower North East Road, Paradise: when there are no organised sporting events
  • Daly Oval, Fisher Street, Magill: when there are no organised sporting events
  • Four Paws Dog Park, corner Montacute Road and St Bernards Road, Hectorville: at all times
  • Foxfield Oval, Maryvale Road, Athelstone: when there are no organised sporting events
  • Gurners Reserve, Leabrook Drove, Rostrevor: 6:00 am - 10:00 am and 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm daily
  • Murray Park, Balmoral Avenue, Magill: when there are no organised sporting events

Please respect other peoples use of parks and reserves and clean up after your pooch.
