Nicola's parents Michele and Concetta lived in Vasto (Abbruzzo) on a farming property known as the "Gallina". On 19/4/56 Michele Moretta aged 31 (born 14/6/25) left Vasto for Naples for the ship "Faersea" and South Australia. Arrived 17/5/56.

He left Concetta Moretta (nee Naurato) (born 8/12/28) also of Vasto and 3 children Antonietta aged 6 (born 9/1/50), Guiseppe aged 4 (born 16/2/52), and Nicola aged 1 (born 29/1/55). Shortly after Michele's departure she and the children left Vasto to live in Fosacescia, Abbruzzo in 1957 with Concetta's mother Adele Naurato (nee Devito).

Angelo the 4th child was born on 29/11/56. Shortly after their arrival Concetta's father Nicola Naurato died in a work accident where he was accidently electrocuted.

On 20/12/59 Concetta Moretta and the 4 children left Fosacescia for Naples and the ship Lociana for South Australia, arrived 18/1/60.

All lived at 91 Childers Street North Adelaide for 12 months then 10 Gordon Road Prospect, then in 1968 moved to 9 Linley Avenue, Blair Athol then to 23 Hardy Street Paradise.

They have 9 grandchildren (Michael, Melissa, Amanda (Guiseppe's children) Rita and Tania (Antonietta's children), Belinda and Simon (Nicola's children) and Carla and Adele (Angelo's children).
