GALLUCCIO, Tommaso

Tommaso Galluccio was born in Molinara, Provincia Di Benevento, Italia on the 17 February 1923 son of Rocco and Maria Giovanna (Spagnoletti). Tommaso married Maria Pellegrina (Gentilcore) on the 18 November 1946. Their marriage resulted in two children Rocco and Maria Cristina. In 1954 he left behind his wife and young children and migrated to South Australia settling in Newton. In February 1956 his family also joined him in Adelaide. They purchased their first home on an acre of land at 30 Gorge Road, Campbelltown.

For eighteen years he worked for General Motors Holden initially at Woodville and later at the Elizabeth plants. In 1963 he purchased four acres of land at Hope Valley, and in 1968 built a new home and took up full time market gardening.

Tommaso passed away on the 27 November 2001 at the age of 78 years. He is succeeded by his wife and children as well as five grand children, Angela, Steven, Anthony, Julia and Anita.
