Originally born in Italy, San Giorgio La Molara, Prov Benevento myself, along with my mother (Eugenia), father (Guiseppe) and younger brother Antonio migrated to Australia in 1965.

We arrived with the "Marconi", our first stop being Fremantle, then to Melbourne and travelled to Adelaide by train where we were united with my older sister Maria, uncles and aunties who had already settled into the way of life in Australia a few years prior to our arrival.

Immediately, at the age of 16 began work as a carpenter along with several other jobs including 6 years at Chrysler. My intention though was always to be an entrepreneur. Photography, by chance, gave me the opportunity I was looking for and in 1975 I established Luigi's Photo Studio, now trading as Belle's Photo at Payneham.

During this time I married in 1976, to my beautiful wife Julie and have two wonderful children Joseph and Jenny.

It is now 40 years since I arrived and I'm so grateful that my parents, who took the step to migrate and give us many more opportunities in life.
