Henry Catt, born 4 October 1831 in Newington Kent UK, arrived in Australia in June 1849 on "Posthumous" with his mother and stepfather Thomas Hall. Henry married Emma Gome in 1853, who was born 1828 at Gillingham Kent UK arrived 1848 on the "Trafalgar". The couple settled in her fathers home at Fourth Creek where they lived from 1853-1856 and they later moved to Strathalbyn and Meadows. henry and Emma had two children, Emma Sarah Catt born 1854 and Isobel Laura Shepherd born 1856.

Henry died in 1876 and his wife Emma died in 1874. Their daughter Emma Sarah died in 1914 and is buried at Clare Cemetery. Their second daughter Isobel died in 1928 and is buried at West Terrace Cemetery.
