CASTELLUCCI, Diordoro

Diordoro Castellucci arrived in Australia on his own in September 1960 at the age of 39 years. He and his family had previously spent 8 years living in Venezuela and had decided to migrate to Australia. His wife, Carmela and 2 small children followed him to Australia 15 months later and arrived by boat on 13 December 1961. Their two children were 5 and 6 years of age at that time.

The family came from San Marco Dei Cavoti which was a small town in the province of Benevento. Following their move to Australia the family was naturalised in 1965.

Diodoro and Carmela now have 4 children, all of which live in Adelaide and have families of their own. They have only returned to Italy once or twice since leaving the country over 40 years ago.
