Francesco Anzil born in Buia Udine, Italy on 17 December 1924 arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia on 1 March 1951, on the ship 'Naples' after 30 days travel.
Employed in a shoe factory in Fremantle and in Perth, Francesco then came to Adelaide by train in December 1951. He was employed 8 years in bars, hotels and dining rooms, mostly at the Ambassador Hotel in Adelaide. He then spent 6 years as a train driver รถ on steam, coal and diesel locomotives in the South Australia Division. Following that he worked 26 years at the head quarters of the Commonwealth Bank, Adelaide, 20 years as a Security Officer and 6 years as a clerical officer. Francesco married Gloria Jean Pitt who was born in Adelaide, South Australia, Payneham.
