ADAMO, Orazio

Born 2 July 1932

On 20 August 1960 Orazio Adamo left his home land, San Martino VC, his father, brother and sister to discover a new home. After travelling for 27 days on the ship, La Roma, he arrived in Melbourne and then caught the train to Adelaide, arriving 16 September 1960. Here he stayed for 2 years with his friend while working for the Highways Department. He then moved in with another family until he met and married Antonietta Spagnuolo, 5 September 1964, and purchased his family home in Marden where he still resides today.

Through tough times they both worked hard to raise three daughters, Giovannina, Nicolina and Anna. With the grace of God, Orazio left the life and family which he knew and loved and began a new life and family of his own which he loves and is proud of today.
