Who is doing the work?
After an extensive procurement process, Sarah Constructions was awarded the contract.

Council has a Long Term Financial Plan which is used to help determine future rate increases for all services and projects it provides to the community. The cost of this project can be funded with the general rate increase.
How long will it take?
The construction company is taking over the site in mid February 2018 and we anticipate completion by the end of December 2018
Are you building what was in the Council’s Master Plan?
Following adoption of the Master Plan, Council consulted Stakeholders and users about the proposed construction. A number of adjustments were made during the design phase of the redevelopment to ensure the costs remained within budget and to minimise impacts adjacent residents.

No, we have assisted all of the current users with finding temporary facilities during construction. We recommend you consult your club or instructor for more information.
Will I be able to walk my dog there? During and after construction?
We do not encourage people to walk their dogs at the facility during construction. We recommend using Four Paws Park at Dennis Morrissey Park, which has been purpose built for dogs and has off-leash areas for dog play, or River Torrens Linear Park for on-leash dog walking whilst the construction is underway. Once construction is complete dogs can be walked on the Oval when there are no organised sporting events.
