Food Trail Bus Tours
Climb Aboard!
The Flavours of Campbelltown Food Trail® Bus Tour will take you into the heart of the City of Campbelltown’s vibrant community for a day of eating and drinking.
Campbelltown celebrates many cultures from pre-settlement to today where many waves of migration have influenced the changing food culture in the region.
Council invites you to come along and enjoy a guided bus tour of some of Campbelltown’s best producers. The tour includes locally-made morning tea, lunch (with wine) and afternoon tea.
Council aims to hold public tours annually during April/May as a part of Tasting Australia, and in November as part of the Adelaide Italian Festival. The Tasting Australia bus tours depart from Tasting Australia’s Town Square (Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga - by the bus slip lane outside the Law Court in the south west corner of the Square) at 10am and include a visit to three to four local food businesses for a day of eating and drinking. Each producer shares intimate stories of their history before guests return to Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga at 4.30pm.
Bookings are essential and are to be made via Tasting Australia directly. Tickets cost $70 per person. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available upon advance request.
Bus tour dates for Tasting Australia in 2024 are: Monday 6, Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 May.
Private Tours (Customised For Your Group)
Council also offers Food Trail bus tours for private groups and clubs to have customised experiences and enjoy the cultures and cuisine that the Campbelltown area has to offer. Typically Council would require a minimum number of 14 participants, with a maximum number of 19 participants, to accommodate a private group. Day tours cost $70 per person but half-day tours at a reduced rate may be a possibility as the tours can be customised to your interest group. Tours may start and finish from the Council Office at Rostrevor, or from a select meeting point as discussed to meet your group's needs, and normally run from 10am - 4.30pm with the option to modify times for your group.
