Abandoned Vehicles are classified as vehicles which have exceeded 24hrs parked on a public road or place. If a vehicle is reported as abandoned, Inspectors will observe the vehicle for 24hrs. If the vehicle has not moved within that time, Inspectors will place a 'Notice to Remove' on the vehicle. The vehicle must then be moved within 24hrs. If the vehicle has not been moved or Council have not been contacted by the owner, the vehicle will be towed.
If you are trying to locate a towed vehicle, please contact General Inspectors on 8366 9252.
If you believe a stolen vehicle has been placed in your street, please refer to SA Police on 131 444 to check if the vehicle is stolen. If the vehicle is not stolen, please telephone General Inspectors on 8366 9252 to report to Council as abandoned or email email@example.com
