Community Care

Campbelltown Community Care provides assistance to residents of the City of Campbelltown area who are:

Frail aged or at risk, unable to maintain the health and safety requirements of their home due to moderate or severe disabilities or lack of family support.
Their carers
Younger people with a disability and/or their carers

Campbelltown Community Care - Home Assist Services

DOMESTIC ASSISTANCE

CLEANING (Fees apply)

Routine Hygiene Clean for Short Term for 1 – 1.5 hrs fortnightly / monthly for 6 visits only

Tasks Not Eligible

Carpet cleaning
Heavy/high window cleaning
Ceiling / Exhaust fans
Heavy curtain washing
Dusting ornaments (due to breakages and difficulties and cost in replacing items)
Tasks that have a safety risk (eg above shoulder height / above 3 steps ladder work)
Unsanitary conditions (negotiated separately at a higher cost)
Hoarding or Squalor
Cleaning in order for client to move house

SHOPPING (Fees apply)

Volunteers accompany the client and assists them with shopping and banking, locally and nearby Council boundaries.

FRIENDLY VISITING (No fees and depends on Volunteer availability).

Volunteers can visit clients in their own home (client has to be independent with daily living activities)

CENTRE-BASED CARE

COFFEE CLUB (Fees apply for transport)

Held fortnightly (Tuesday groups or Wednesday groups) for Aged and younger people with a disability who live alone.

BOOK CLUB (Fees apply for Transport)

Held monthly (Mondays) in the Campbelltown Council Library or other venue decided by group for Aged and younger people with a disability.

GARDEN CLUB (No fees apply)

Held weekly (Fridays) Multicultural MALE group onlyheld in Client’s gardens in rotation
Includes a light lunch

HOME MAINTENANCE

GARDENING SERVICES

This service does not include:

HANDYMAN SERVICES (Subsidised fees apply)

Subsidised Contractor services involving the assistance of qualified Trade Contractors who are able to carry out small tasks

MINOR PLUMBING SERVICES (Subsidised fees apply)

Subsidised Contractor services involving the assistance of qualified Trade Contractors who are able to carry out basic plumbing tasks

MINOR ELECTIRICAL SERVICES (Subsidised fees apply)

Subsidised Contractor services involving the assistance of qualified Trade Contractors who are able to carry out basic electrical tasks

This service does not include repairs, maintentance, installation or replacement of:

SAFETY & SECURITY HOME MODIFICATIONS

Grab rails, ramps, handheld showers, magnetic door catches and simple locking devices can all be installed on referral from another Service Provider
