Since 1997 YAC has been involved in initiating a large number of youth events, activities and forums, some of the highlights include:
- Developing a Youth Policy, adopted by Council in November 1997 and is reviewed and updated annually
- Celebrating National Youth Week on an annual basis by promoting and developing young people's skills through music, art, writing, cooking, short films, photography, BMX and skateboarding competitions/workshops
- Implementing youth consultation strategies and developing appropriate responses to help assess the needs and aspirations of local young people
- Establishing a website by and for young people to access relevant information
- Developed and distributed a local booklet titled "A youth guide to places and spaces in Campbelltown"
- Know your limits alcohol awareness program which won a National award
- Conducting large scale and free youth events including Movies in the Park, Summerfest Pool Party & You FILM - short film festival
- Initiating innovative youth participation programs like Youth FM radio program, Race around the Council, Girls Day In and Cash 101
- Co-hosted a Youth Summit and Co-written the Eastern Youth Action Plan
- Created innovative youth programs to address issues impacting on young people in Campbelltown including; Youth Professional Development Series, YAC Bootcamp & Body U + Me
- Produce an information card, 'When it hits the fan'. This credit card sized card is the A to Z of information for young people
