The Campbelltown Local History room functions as the hub of our local history collection. You'll find a wealth of information about Campbelltown's people, places and events, in photographs, pamphlets, maps, documents, books, scrapbooks, school year books, newspaper clippings and physical artefacts.
Local History materials are for reference only and cannot be borrowed.
In late August 2020, the Local History room in the Campbelltown Library was renamed as the Ian Reddy Local History Room to honour the memory of Ian Reddy. Ian was a local history volunteer and resident and the 2015 Campbelltown Citizen of the Year Award Winner.
Ian passed away in 2018 in his 80th year. He was a familiar face in the Local History Room having helped countless community members with their local history enquiries over the years.
