Heritage Plaque

The "City of Campbelltown Heritage Survey" (1996) was financed with the assistance the South Australian Government, via the State Heritage Fund. The survey was carried out by heritage consultants Sarah Laurence and Taylor Weidenhofer between 1995 and 1996. A total of 106 places of architectural or historical interest were identified in the survey, including 4 places on the State Heritage Register, and 1 place nominated for the State Heritage Register. Some of the places identified in the 1996 survey have since been substantially altered or demolished.

As part of Campbelltown Council’s 2017/2018 Annual Business Plan, Council undertook a project to promote local heritage sites in the area. Council has started to install plaques on the footpath adjacent to local heritage sites. These plaques will display a website link, which will provide information on the heritage sites from the "City of Campbelltown Heritage Survey" published in 1996. The bronze plaques will be 250mm in diameter and sit flat on the footpath or verge surface.
