Citizen of the Year Nominations

The Citizen of the Year Awards are proudly presented by the Australia Day Council of South Australia, sponsored by San Remo, and administered by local Councils.
The Awards reward and recognise individuals and organisations that have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year, and/or give an outstanding service over a number of years, to a local community over and above normal employment duties.
Outstanding contribution and community service includes areas such as; education, health, fund-raising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, or any other area that contributes to the advancement and well being of a community.
Council is seeking nominations for extraordinary achievements by people from our community in the following categories:
Citizen of the Year Award:
The most outstanding Citizen for the Campbelltown City Council area
To be eligible, the person must be an Australian Citizen.
Young Citizen of the Year Award:
The most outstanding Young Citizen for the Campbelltown City Council area
To be eligible, the person must be an Australian Citizen under 30 years of age on January 26, 2012.
Community Event of the Year Award:
This is presented to the person/group who has staged the most outstanding community event during the past year.
Campbelltown Australia Day Award for Excellence in Sport
This will be awarded to an individual, team, school or club that has achieved in a sport or has supported or fostered participation in a sporting club.
Campbelltown Australia Day Award for Outstanding Community Service
This will be awarded to a club or group who have made a noteworthy contribution, undertaken a project that served the Community during the year.
Campbelltown Australia Day Award for
Award for Excellence in Arts
This will be awarded to an individual or group that have contributed to the Community through a form of the Arts (i.e. visual, performance)

Council will forward the details of their Award recipients to the Australia Day Council of SA to go in the running for the State Awards, presented by the Governor of South Australia.
